On June 6, 2017, the Clean Energy ? Innovation Mission Summit opened at the Beijing National Convention Center. Professor Wei yi-ming, director of the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research, professor liao hua and other seven teachers participated in the eighth Clean Energy Ministerial Conference the Carbon Capture, Utilization and Storage (CCUS) side meeting. This side meeting was jointly organized by the International Energy Agency and the Ministry of Science and Technology China Agenda 21 Management Center. Beijing Institute of Technology Center for Energy and Environmental Policy Research hosted the meeting. With a theme of "CCUS’ role under the framework of the Clean Energy Ministerial Conference", the meeting explored the development, status, future challenges and international cooperation experience of carbon capture, utilization and storage, especially the role the Clean Energy Ministerial Conference can play in the development of carbon capture and storage.
