July 9-13, 2017,The Portland International Center for Engineering and Technology (PICMET 2017) was successfully held in Portland, Oregon, USA. A party of five including teacher Guo Ying, doctoral students Huang Ying, master students Yu Huizhu, Miao Wen, Zhang Li Li from the Knowledge management and data analysis laboratory paid a visit to the United States.
Teacher Guo Ying and doctoral student Huang Ying, gave a report entitled respectively, "Validating the Earlier Analyses and Forecasting on Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs)" and "Discovering Interactions in Big Data Research: A Learning Enhanced Bibliometric Study", and were invited to chair the sub-forums of the Indicators of Technical Emergence-2 and Indicators of Technical Emergence-4, as well as members of the PANEL: Trends in Technological Emergence Indicators.
Graduate students Yu Huizhu, Miao Wen and Zhang Lili made a reprot entitled, respectively, "Cooperation as a Mediator Variable between Research Fund and Scientific Outputs: Evidence from NSFC-Guangdong Joint Fund", "Patent network analysis for identification technological evolution: A case study of China's artificial intelligence technologies "," Venture Capital and Patent Activities in China: A Multi-case Study in Bio-pharmaceutical Industry "and actively discussed with well-known experts at home and abroad.
