September 22, 2017, co-sponsored by the National Natural Science Foundation Department of Management Science, Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economic Mathematics, and the Renmin University of China, the 8th China Energy Economics and Management Academic Conference and the 11th China Energy Resources Development and Utilization Strategy Symposium was held at Renmin University of China. Vice President He Yaomin of Renmin University of China, Deputy Director Tan Fangzheng of Social Science Department, Ministry of Education, and Professor Wei Yiming, Director of Energy Economics and Management Research Institute of Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economic Mathematics delivered speech at the opening ceremony. More than 500 energy economics and management scholars from more than 100 institutions of higher learning and research institutes from home and abroad attended the opening ceremony and the conference. The opening ceremony was chaired by Professor Guan Xueling, Party Secretary of the School of Economics, Renmin University of China.
