September 24, 2017, at 9:00 am, the second School of Management and Economics "Academic demonstration camp" was successfully held in Liangxiang campus administrative building 2F conference room. Professor Yan Zhijun, vice dean of the School of Management and Economics, and his research team, Department of Management Engineering teacher Jia lin, secretary of the Communist Youth League Zhang Rui, as well as more than 30 outstanding undergraduates of class 2015 and 2016 on Liangxiang campus participated in this event.
Dr. Dong Chao demonstrated the panel data methods and applications, and details of the panel data concept, the basic model, pretreatment and its applications. In the application part, Dong Chao presented in details his study on climate and food trade. In addition to the professional aspects of the explanation, Dong Chao also introduced to peer students his visit experience in Yale University. In other areas, doctoral students Xie Yue and Yang Hangzhou, respectively, shared their research on the field of health management, literature of large data analysis. The undergraduate students actively participated in academic discussions, expressed their own doubts and interests in the content. The scene had very warm atmosphere.
Professor Yan Zhijun made the final comments. He believed that the "Academic demonstration camp" has effectively opened up the students thinking, mobilized the enthusiasm of students in science and technology. He encouraged students to expand their knowledge, broaden their horizons, and grow to high-level management talents.
