November 4, 2011, Professor Lei Guangyong, Associate Dean of International Business School, Foreign Trade University, the National 100 Excellent Doctoral Dissertation winner, gave a lecture entitled " China’s transition economy and accounting research" at conference room 241 of the Main Building. Professor Lei emphasized accounting research should be combined with the background of China's transition economy; the impact of China's transition characteristics on adopting the existing theoretical framework of western countries to study Chinese accounting and corporate governance; and possible future research directions.

PhD. in Management, Zhongnan University, post-doc. in business administration, Peking University. Now professor, doctoral tutor, and Associate Dean of .Foreign Trade University International Business School. Research interests: accounting and corporate governance. Published more than 60 papers in "Economic Research", "Management World," "Accounting Research", "audit study" and so on. Presided more than 10 National Natural Foundation, National Social Science Fund projects. Research received 8 awards provincial level or above, including doctoral dissertation, "Accounting Contract" winning the first national Yang Jiwan scholarship "excellent dissertation Award" (2003), Hubei Province Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Award (2004), National Excellent Doctoral thesis award (2005); selected Hunan New Century 121 Talent Project (2005), the Ministry of Finance National Accounting Academic Leaders (2006), Program for New Century Excellent Talents (2006).
