A few days ago, the General Office of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee issued the "Third Batch of National "10,000-person" Plan". Professor Wei Yiming was selected as a leader in the Philosophy and Social Sciences of the “10,000-person Plan”.
Prof. Wei Yiming has been engaged in the research and teaching of management system engineering for a long time. He has conducted innovative research and made contributions in the fields of energy economic forecasting and decision modeling, resource and environmental management, disaster risk assessment, energy economy and climate policy. He has presided over more than 50 research projects including the National Key R&D Program, the National Natural Science Foundation Innovation Research Group Project, the National Natural Science Foundation of China Major International Cooperation, the 973 Program, the National Science and Technology Support Program, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the EU FP7. He has published more than 10 books; over 300 papers in Nature - Climate Change, Nature - Energy, etc. Among them, more than 160 articles have been collected by SCI/SSCI, and more than 100 articles have been collected by EI. He has been cited in tens of thousands of papers (including 2,556 SCI/SSCI references) and 21 ESI "highly cited papers." For 4 years in a row, he was named "Most Cited Chinese Researchers" by Elsevier. He has won 13 provincial or ministerial science and technology or natural science awards or philosophy and social science awards, and six first prizes. A number of policy advisory reports have been submitted to the Central and State Departments and they have received attention. The research results have a great influence on academic and government departments.
