Assistant Professor Wang Jiexin of Pennsylvania State University gives academic lecture

On the morning of June 21, 2018, Jessie Wang, an assistant professor of the Department of Management at the Pennsylvania State University Scranton, was invited to visit. The School of Management and Economics held an academic exchange meeting at the Zhongguancun Campus. The topic of exchange and sharing was "A Resource Investment Perspective Linking Personality Traits and Work Family Conflict and Enrichment". Gao An, director of the organization and human resources management department, presided over and participated in the report.

There are two agendas for this academic exchange. The first agenda is that Jessie Wang introduces her research results, including the research background, theoretical basis, research design, research results and discussion of the thesis. Based on the theory of resource conservation, Jessie Wang vividly introduced a resource-based process model that explains how key resources (exhaustive, extroverted, and pleasant personality) are developed through different resources (human capital). Development, social capital development, and altruistic capital development have an indirect impact on work-family conflicts and work-family gains.

The second agenda is the questioning and communication. Jessie Wang patiently answered questions raised by teachers and classmates and conducted in-depth discussions with everyone in the context of China. Jessie Wang also shared her PhD experience. Combining her research results, she put forward many valuable opinions on how to balance work and family.
