On July 1st, the opening ceremony of the 8th National Outstanding College Students Summer Camp in 2018 was successfully held in the lecture hall of Building 7 of Beijing Institute of Technology. At the opening ceremony, Prof. Wei Yiming, Dean of the School of Management and Economics, Prof. Kong Zhaojun, Associate Dean, Professor Tang Junjun, Associate Dean, Professor Liu Pingqing, Vice Dean, Peng Mingxue, and the heads of various disciplines and departments and a number of key teachers attended the event. The opening ceremony was hosted by Associate Professor Lu Xin, Director of the Center for Scientific Research and Academic Exchange.
First, Dean Wei Yiming, on behalf of all the teachers and students of the School of Management and Economics, welcomed the arrival of the campers and briefly introduced the development of the School of Management and Economics. The number of people registered in the summer camp reached 899, and 122 people were selected to join the camp. Dean Wei Yiming said that the students present here are excellent, and I hope that everyone will have more exciting performances.
