From July 1st to July 3rd, in 2018, the summer camp for outstanding college students in the School of Management and Economics was successfully held in the Zhongguancun Campus. The summer camp activities received positive responses from outstanding college students from all over the country. A total of 431 outstanding students from 91 universities applied for it. After careful screening, 33 students were selected from Harbin Institute of Technology, Hunan University, Lanzhou University, Northeastern University, Northwestern Polytechnical University, China Agricultural University, Harbin Engineering University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Beijing University of Technology, Beijing Forestry University, Beijing University of Science and Technology, China University of Mining and Technology, Hebei University of Technology, Hefei University of Technology, Liaoning University and other universities. The contents of this summer camp are divided into subject introduction, academic report, teacher-student exchange, and visit to the school history museum.
At the opening ceremony on the morning of July 1, Dean Wei Yiming expressed warm congratulations to the students attending the summer camp. He hoped that more outstanding students would continue their studies at Beijing Institute of Technology and announced the opening of the summer camp. Since then, Dr. Wu Shuilong, Dr. Liu Ningyue, Dr. Yang Tianan, Dr. Ye Xuanting and Professor Subodha Kumar of the Business Administration Department have made cutting-edge academic reports for the campers in various research directions. During the academic report, the campers had a full communication with the reporter on the academic issues of their concern.
