On the morning of September 8, the 2018 graduate opening ceremony of the School of Management and Economics was successfully held in the lecture hall of Building No. 7. Dean Wei Yiming, Party Secretary Wang Zhaohua, 159 graduates and 62 PhD students attended the event. The ceremony was hosted by Wang Zhaohua.
On behalf of all the teachers and students of the School, Dean Wei Yiming expressed warm welcome to all the graduate students of the year 2018, and introduced the achievements of the School in the professional discipline construction, the outstanding teachers, and the talent training goals, giving the freshmen a preliminary understanding of the School. Dean Wei also sent a message to graduate students: to be ambitions and strive to become the leaders in academia and business circles; be brave in exploring, be brave in innovation, and to think independently; to have academic taste, academic norms, and academic ethics. Dean Wei wished that in the process of learning, the individual's academic research ability was continuously improved, and the 2018 freshmen were able to successfully complete their academic career in Beijing Institute of Technology.
