In June, the press conference and opening ceremony of the National Youth School Football League (University Group) Super Group Finals were held at Beijing Institute of Technology. The opening game was Beijing Institute of Technology against Ningbo University. Football legend David Beckham came to Beijing Institute of Technology to kick off the opening match.
Chinese College Students' Martial Arts Championships
In the 2018 National College Students’ Martial Arts Competition, we won 2 gold medals, 2 silvers, and 4 bronzes.
The National College Athletics Championships
The 11-member track and field team participated in the competition. A total of 3 gold medals and 4 bronze medals were won. The total score of the team was 63 points, breaking the highest score of BIT in the competition in 20 years.
The 56th Capital University Students Athletics Games
In May, the 56th Capital University Student Athletics Games was held at the Chinese People's Public Security University (Tuanhe Campus). After four days of competition, our team won a total of two gold medals on men's discus and men's high jump, five runner-ups on men's shot put, women's javelin, women's long jump, men's hurdles, women's discus, and third places on men's 10 km walk, 20 km walk, men's discus, men's triple jump.
National Indoor Athletics Championships
In March, in the two-day National Indoor Athletics Championships (Dalian Station), Cheng Kaiwei of the School of Management and Economics won the men’s high jump with the result of 2.15 meters, and Zhang Shuai, the runner-up of the men's 60-meter hurdle.
