Professor Porter explained information search, data retrieval, data cleaning, as well as obtaining summary information of publishing and reference records from the major scientific and technological innovation database. He also displayed how to apply a variety of science and technology map and visualized network to support your research interests.

Professor Alan Porter, now is the professor of Georgia Institute of Technology School of Public Policy, honorary professor of the School of System Engineering, adjunct professor of Beijing Institute of Technology. He is a global leader in applying text mining technology in technology forecasting and assessment. His research interests include technology opportunities analysis, technology management, technology forecasting and assessment.
