July 21, 2012, in the morning, Beijing Institute of Technology Energy and Environmental Policy Research Centre (CEEP-BIT) released in Beijing an assessment report on international climate change research institutions’ influence. The report is an outcome of a National Key Basic Research and Development Program (973 Program) (No.: 2010CB955805) undertaken by Professor Wei Yiming, Director of the CEEP-BIT, Changjiang Scholar Chair Professor, and National Outstanding Youth Science Foundation Laureate.
The assessment report is a new progress of CEEP researchers long been engaged in the research of energy and climate change policies, and provides an important scientific reference for the central government to consider the establishment of an climate change research institutions with international influence, and supports to the climate negotiations.
