July 29-August 3, the 2012 Portland International Conference for Management of Engineering and Technology was held in Vancouver, Canada. Professor Liuyun attended the meeting and gave a thematic report entitled "Construction of the International S & T Resources Monitoring System" in the technical session. Professor Liu carried out a wide range of academic exchanges with experts on innovation management, R & D management, technology management, technology forecasts, patent analysis and other fields. He discussed a plan of hosting the conference in China with the chairman of the meeting, Professor Dundar F. Kocaoglu. Dr. Guo Ying, Dr. Huang Lu and adjunct professor Alan Porter from the Georgia Institute of Technology also participated in the meeting. Through in-depth exchanges with delegates, the trip expanded our school’s influence in international technology management academia.
