November 26 to December 2, 2012, invited by the Secretariat of the United Nations Framework on Climate Change Convention (UNFCCC), Professor Liu Yun, as a member of the delegation of the China Science and Technology Exchange Center, and on behalf of the United Nations UNESCO and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Chair person in charge, participated in the 18th Conference of the Parties (COP18) of the United Nations Framework on Climate Change Convention (UNFCCC) and the 8th meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (CMP8) convened in Doha. The Chinese group members include more than ten people from the Department of International Cooperation, the China Science and Technology Exchange Center, Beijing Institute of Technology, the Chinese Academy of Sciences Lanzhou Branch.
During the meeting, Professor Liu Yun introduced the work of BIT - UNESCO Chair.
November 29, a sideline meeting with the same theme was held. Professor Liu Yun presided over the sideline meeting and delivered a keynote speech "South-South climate change technology transfer mechanisms, issues and countermeasures".
