December 15, 2012, in the afternoon, Professor Yang Xiaohua, doctoral tutor of Beijing Normal University and the State Key Laboratory of Water Environment Simulation, Professor Jin Juliang doctoral tutor of Hefei University of Technology School of Civil and Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources and Environmental Systems Engineering Institute, visit the CEEP and gave an academic report. The lecture was hosted by Deputy Dean Professor Wang Zhaohua. Dean Professor Wei Yiming and researchers of the Center attended the meeting.
Professor Yang Xiaohua first gave an academic report entitled "Complex environmental systems modeling - nonlinear intelligent methodology".
In subsequent, Professor Jin Juliang gave a report on natural disaster risk management. The report elaborated in details the reason and the characteristics of frequent natural disasters in China, explored the formation mechanism of regional disaster, the theoretical system of natural disaster systematic research, risk quantitative methods, and introduced the main content and key technologies of natural disaster risk management.
