July 16-17, 2013, the school of Management and Economics Professor Liu Yun and China Science and Technology Exchange Center Director Chen Xiong, Yan Xiaohong, and Dr. Xin Bingqing attended the "APEC renewable energy and new energy technology development and application international symposium " held in Kunming, Yunnan.
The State Science and Technology Department Division of International Cooperation, and Yunnan Provincial Department of Science and Technology leadership, the person in charge of APEC Science and Innovation Policies partnership mechanism, and a total of 100 representatives of relevant research institutes, universities, enterprises and other units from the United States, Australia, New Zealand , Chile, Thailand, Malaysia, South Korea, Russia and other countries attended the meeting .
In the meeting, participants had in-depth exchanges around the APEC member economies in the renewable energy and new energy (solar, wind and biogas ) areas including technology development and utilization trends, support policies, market prospects, technical achievements, product demonstrations, promotion and effectiveness as well as cooperation needs and other topics.
During the meeting, China Science and Technology Exchange Center signed a cooperation agreement with the representative of Thailand Naresuan University to provide aids in building a climate change technology transfer network platform. The cooperation will provid a base for the implementation of Professor Liu Yun’s foreign aid project supported by the State Department of Science and Technology.
