October 12, 2013 , invited by the School of Management and Economics , Professor Burton A. Abrams, University of Delaware Lerner College of Business and Economics , gave a report entitled "At a Dangerous Crossroad: Current US Monetary Policy and its Implications for the US and the World ". Ma Ming, head of the International Trade and Finance Department, and some teachers and students listened to the academic report.
Professor Burton Abrams first expressed gratitude for the invitation , and briefly described the main contents of the lecture and practical significance of his research . Professor Burton Abrams revealed the Fed 's monetary policy in the past five years, and used Brunner-Meltzer money supply model to explain the Fed's policy as well as the effectiveness of policies , and pointed out that the Fed's policy will have serious inflation risk , then discussed how likely the problem of inflation to be avoided and hence the costs.

He published a number of papers on top economics journals such as Journal of Political Economy .
