November 25, 2013, in the morning, professor Robin Qiu, Pennsylvania State University, was appointed adjunct professor of Beijing Institute of Technology. The appointment ceremony was held at the conference room 317 in the main building. Mr. Qiu Guanghua obtained a Bachelor’s and a master's degree in Beijing Institute of Technology , in 1996 received a Ph.D. in computer science and Ph.D. in industrial engineering at Pennsylvania State University. A tenured professor of information science at Pennsylvania State University, he is an internationally renowned scholar in the field of management science, and has great international influence in the industrial engineering and management science academic community. His research interests include supply chain management, operations management, service science , production systems automation and management, enterprise integration , and published the " Enterprise Services IT ", " Business-oriented agile enterprise integration ", " Service Science " and other academic monographs. In recent years , as the founding Chairman of the INFORMS Service Science Society, working together with the world leaders in service science, he has been actively promoting forward-looking work on service science in research, teaching and application, and made an outstanding contribution for the development of service science in the world.
