October 22-23, 2014, jointly organized by the Department of International Cooperation, UNDP Resident Representative, United Nations Environment Programme Resident Representative, UNESCO representative office in China, Yunnan Science and Technology Department, co-hosted by Beijing Institute of Technology, China Science and Technology Exchange Center, and Yunnan Science and Technology Information Research Institute, "the Fourth South-South Cooperation International Symposium on Science and Technology to Address Climate Change" was held in Kunming. More than 70 Chinese and foreign representatives from over 20 developing countries and international organizations had discussions and exchanges around a theme "to address climate change: mitigation, adaptation and common development".
