January 16, 2015, Beijing Institute of Technology professor Hu Ruifa released a report entitled"The biological safety of transgenetic crops: scientific evidence vs network perspective" at the Friendship Hotel. This is the first time ever the domestic academic circles published research report on the transgenetic topic based on literature retrieval and data analysis. The report caused enormous repercussions. April 16, 2015, The SME and Chinese Institute of Bio Engineering jointly organized a report meeting for "The biological safety of transgenetic crops: scientific evidence vs network perspective" in Beijing Institute of University main building hall 133. The report was hosted by Professor Zhang Hongxiang, vice president of Biological Engineering Society of China. Associate Dean Professor Yan Zhijun attended the report. Teachers and students from Beijing Institute of Technology, China Agricultural University, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences as well as media reporters participated in the event.
