On the afternoon of June 1, 2015, Chancellor's professor Zuojun Max Shen of the University of California, Berkeley, who is selected by the Central Organization Department "1000 Talent Plan", visited the School of Management and Economics at the invitation of Professor RAN Lun, and gave a lecture entitled "service region design for urban electric vehicle sharing systems"at the hall 133 of the main building.
Professor Shen responded to the attending teachers and students’ questions so that we understand the latest development of data driven operations, sustainable operation, service system design, new energy vehicles and other related research in the field.

Zuojun Max Shen is currently Chancellor's professor of the University of California at Berkeley. He presided over 7 USA National Science Foundation (NSF) projects, and 10 government, business consulting projects. He published a number of papers in the top academic journals such as Science Operations, and Research Management, authored monograph Fundamentals of Supply Chain Theory (Wiley), and compiled Handbook of Supply Chain Analysis in the E-Business Era (Springer).
