Elsevier, a world-renowned publisher, has recently awarded a certificate to Prof. Wei Yiming and Dr. Liang Qiaomei, both SME staff members, announcing them as “the most cited mainland Chinese authors in Elsevier journals on Economics, 2004-2008”.
The certificate is referring to their research paper “Carbon Taxation Policy in China: How to Protect Energy- and Trade-Intensive Sectors?” appearing in Journal of Policy Modeling (2007, Elsevier).
In this paper, the authors introduced a model of their own design for comparing and analyzing carbon taxation policies. The model is capable of feedbacking quantitative results of input policy in terms of its impact on macro-economy and on energy-intensive branches.
