At the invitation from SME, Dr. Thomas A. Mazzuchi, professor of School of Engineering and Applied Science (SEAS) of George Washington University (GWU) in Washington, D.C., USA paid a visit to SME on April 14 and gave a talk entitled What’s Wrong with Risk Matrices? to SME faculty and students.
GWU is one of the best private universities as well as research institutions in the US. As one of her 12 constituent parts, SEAS, which came to existence in 1884, specializes in engineering, technology for communications and transportation. The School now has 5 departments, each offers programs for undergraduates, master candidates and doctoral entrants.
