Professor Peter Franklin of Hochschule Konstanz Technik, Wirtschaft und Gestaltung, Germany visited BIT’s Liangxiang campus on May 25 to lecture on intercultural marking to the pilot class of international economy and trade.
The England-born and Cambridge-educated scholar is an influential figure in intercultural business and management communication. His talk was filled with examples based on paying special attention to cultural differences among diverse nations and/or nationalities in commercial designing to promote products better. His talk has deepened audience’s impression that knowing handing of cultural issues can make trivial-seeming products a big profiter, while neglect of them could bring huge loss.
He brought his latest book The Mindful International Manager with him, which he complimented away to BIT library.
