August 27, 2010 - School of Management and Economics held a new undergraduate student orientation on Liangxiang campus. Leadership members and guests attending the orientation included Professor Wei Yiming, Dean of the SME, Professor Li Jinlin, Secretary General, Professor Dong Peiwu, Dean of the undergraduate school, Qiu Fang, Deputy Secretary General and Vice Dean, department heads and representatives of class teachers.
Dean Wei Yiming, on behalf of the SME, made welcoming remarks. Dean Wei pointed out that the BIT followed Yan'an spirit and trained a large number of useful talents. With new development and new situation, SME set "four best" guidelines on optimizing structures and recruiting talents in order to convey more talent power to the society.
Secretary Li Jinlin introduced the basic situation of the University and the School, and hoped that students in such a good environment and conditions could enhance the development of intelligence and physique and become an excellent talent.
Dean Wu Dongpei introduced the teaching and learning of the undergraduate school. He proposed ardent hope that students could get familiar with the school environment as soon as possible, meet the learning requirements, grasp learning methods, comply with school discipline, cultivate a sound personality, and enter into the society with outstanding achievements.
Next, head of each department presented and made wonderful speeches. The orientation ended perfectly in interactions between teachers and students.
