September 9, at 3:30 pm - Prof. Jin Juliang from Hefei University of Technology visited the SME and the Energy and Environmental Policy Research Center, and gave a lecture entitled " The Application of Set Pair Analysis in System Engineering - A Case Study of Water Resources System Engineering”. Dean Prof. Wei Yiming chaired the lecture.
Prof. Jin started with detailed descriptions on SPA in system engineering uncertainty analysis. He then used examples to explain the application of SPA including estimation, analysis, evaluation and decision making methods in water resources system engineering based on SPA. Attending teachers and students interacted actively with the speaker and had in-depth discussion and exchanges.

Jin Juliang, B Tech. and M Tech. in Hydrology and Water Resources from Chengdu University of Science and Technology in 1989 and 1992, respectively. Engineer from the Nanjing Institute of Hydrology and Water Resources of the Ministry of Water Resources In 1995. PhD Tech. in Hydrology and Water Resources from Hohai University in 1998. Post-doc in Sichuan University in 2000. Named professor of Hefei University of Technology in November 2000. Up till now work in Hefei University of Technology. Also a visiting professor at Inner Mongolia Agricultural University and adjunct professor at Lanzhou University, Zhengzhou University, and Northeast Agricultural University. Doctoral tutor at Hefei Industrial University and Yangzhou University. Principle investigator for 10 longitudinal research projects, winning more than 10 awards. Published "Water System Engineering" and other seven monographs. Published about 100 EI, SCI and ISTP papers.
