October 21, 2010, in the evening, Mrs. Liu from the Ministry of Finance Accounting Division gave a wonderful lecture on China’s accounting reform and development in Room 304 of the Graduate Building. The classroom was fully packed. Nearly 100 teachers and students from Accounting Department as well as graduate students in related field attended the lecture. Chen Songsheng from Accounting Department chaired the meeting.
Mrs. Liu introduced three aspects including China's current corporate accounting standards, overall plan of further deepening the reform of accounting, and the International Financial Reporting Standards major items. As a participant, she talked about the achievements of China's accounting reform, international cooperation and convergence, problems and improvement measures. Her lecture enriched students with a more profound understanding of the forefront of international accounting standards, domestic accounting developments, and how to write academically. Two hours’ lecture went fast, and teachers and students hoped Mrs. Liu could come to visit and talk often.
