April 13, 2016, Dr. Zhang Xiaobing, Assistant Professor in the School of Economics of Renmin University of China was invited to visit the School of Economics and Management, and gave an academic report entitled "Prices vs quantities for multiple stock pollutants with an application to global warming". Dean Professor Wei Yiming and a number of teachers and students attended the meeting. The report was chaired by Professor Liu Hua.
In the report, Dr. Zhang Xiaobing mainly introduced the selection of existing mainstream conservation policy tools - carbon taxes and carbon trading. The empirical results showed that taking the "carbon tax + carbon trading" hybrid means achieves better results.
