May 12-15, 2016, sponsored by Beijing Municipal Education Commission and Beijing Municipal Sports Bureau, hosged by Beijing Collegiate Athletic Association, Beijing Vocational College of Electronic Science and Technology, the 54th Capital Universities Students Track and Field Games was held in Beijing Electronic Science and Technology Vocational College.
The games attracted a total of 70 institutions from Beijing with more than 1,500 athletes. Beijing Institute of Technology sent a total of 37 athletes. After four days of intense competition, Beijing Institute of Technology team won the men and women group fourth place.
In the Games closing ceremony, the President of the Assembly declared that the 55th Capital Universities Students Track and Field Games in 2017 is going to be held at Beijing Institute of Technology.
