In the afternoon of August 26, 2016, invited by professor Zhang Qiang, associate professor Cang Shuang of the Bournemouth University visited our school and made an academic report entitled "Elderly Health Care at Home”. Professor Zhang Qiang, Director of the Department of Management Science and Logistics, hosted the report.
Starting from the social reality of the United Kingdom, associate professor Cang Shuang introduced the present situation of the population aging in the United Kingdom and the related research results. He especially introduced how to use information and communication technologies to monitor elderly daily activities, research on their long-term behavior and habits, to provide more accurate, low cost and practical assistive technology for the elderly, and help them to live an independent and healthy life at home.
