October 20, 2016, the National Natural Science Foundation key projects group "The Internet era medical and health operations management" 2016 annual inspection and exchange meeting was successfully held at Beijing Institute of Technology School of Economics and Management. The conference was hosted by the National Natural Science Foundation Department of Management Science, and Beijing Institute of Technology School of Economics and Management.
Hu Haiyan, President of Beijing Institute of Technology, delivered a speech. He pointed out that healthcare is a major problem in China. Making full use of the Internet and large data technology to promote the development of medical and health services is a good thing for the whole society. President Hu also said that the funding model of grouping key projects enabled several research institutions to focus on solving major problems, and helped to produce outstanding scientific research outcomes.
