2020年11月24日，【明理講堂2020年第36期】有幸邀請到美國麻省理工學(xué)院斯隆商學(xué)院運(yùn)營管理系YanChong (Karen) Zheng教授為大家?guī)眍}為”Improving Farmers’ Revenue on Digital Agricultural Platforms” 的學(xué)術(shù)報(bào)告，報(bào)告采用騰訊會議在線直播的形式。管理與經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院部分領(lǐng)導(dǎo)、教師、碩博研究生等多名師生參加了本次講座，主持人為管理與經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)院技術(shù)經(jīng)濟(jì)及戰(zhàn)略管理系李果教授。
在報(bào)告中，Karen Zheng教授首先對當(dāng)前發(fā)展中國家農(nóng)產(chǎn)品供應(yīng)鏈的特點(diǎn)及面臨的關(guān)鍵挑戰(zhàn)進(jìn)行了總體介紹。之后，以印度卡納塔克邦的農(nóng)業(yè)數(shù)字平臺(Unified Market Platform, UMP)的為例，從物流挑戰(zhàn)、投標(biāo)效率、市場集中度和價(jià)格發(fā)現(xiàn)過程五方面對平臺優(yōu)化的影響因素及設(shè)計(jì)機(jī)制進(jìn)行了深入透徹地講解。最后，Karen Zheng教授分享了其在農(nóng)業(yè)數(shù)字平臺方面的研究心得，大家深受啟發(fā)。

附：Yanchong (Karen) Zheng教授簡介
Yanchong (Karen) Zheng is a Sloan School Career Development Professor and an Associate Professor of Operations Management at the MIT Sloan School of Management. Karen’s research studies fundamental and emerging operations management problems with a critical lens on the behavioral factors impacting human decisions, particularly in information-critical environments. She works on a diverse range of areas including supply chain information sharing, environmental and socially responsible supply chains, smallholder agriculture operations, as well as consumer behavior in pricing and revenue management. Her research integrates theoretical modeling of OM problems with empirical investigation of human behavior. Karen has won several paper awards from the INFORMS society, the NSF CAREER Award to support her research on trust and information transparency in operations. Karen holds undergraduate and master’s degrees from Tsinghua University in China and a PhD in Management Science and Engineering from Stanford University.
