報(bào)告內(nèi)容簡(jiǎn)介:

Climate change is a global public health threat bigger than the COVID-19 pandemic. Climate change and extreme weather events cause more infectious diseases, non-commutable diseases, mental illnesses, and population displacement, resulting in unprecedented challenges to overloaded health systems. Meanwhile, responding to climate change can also bring opportunities to improve global health and achieve co-benefits for the environment, health, and economy. Using the Lancet Countdown Oceania on Health and Climate Change project, an integral part of the global initiative to track and assess progress on health and climate change, as a case study, the presentation will demonstrate how multidisciplinary research evidence can advance climate policy and action to achieve sustainable, climate-resilient, and equitable health systems for a greener and healthier future of the planet.
