主講人簡(jiǎn)介：
Lai-Chu See received her bachelor degree (BS) from Department of Public Health of National Taiwan University in 1982, her first master degree (MPH) in environmental health from Department of Epidemiology and Public Health of Yale University in 1984, another master degree (MS) in biostatistics from the Johns Hopkins University in 1989, and her Philosophiae Doctor degree (PhD) in epidemiology from Graduate Institute of Public Health, National Taiwan University in 1997.Currently, she is a full professor of Chang Gung University (CGU), Taiwan since 2008 and has been working at CGU since 1992. Prior to returning to Taiwan, she was a chief for Seroepidemiology Division, AIDS Administration, Dept. of Health & Mental Health, Maryland State Government, USA in 1991-1992. She was an instructor at Dana Center for Preventive Ophthalmology, Wilmer Eye Institute, Johns Hopkins Hospital, USA in 1988-1991. She was a research associate at John B. Pierce Foundation Laboratory, Yale University from 1984-1986.
Her research interests include epidemiology, public health, and biostatistics. Up to August, 2015, she has published 291 journal articles (168 in English and 128 in Chinese). Among these 291 journal articles, she was either a first author or corresponding author in 133 articles (45.7%). She has written three Chinese text books (2 in biostatistics and 1 in epidemiology). In 2015, she was appointed to the editor board of International Journal of Surgery and an assistant editor for International Journal of Surgery Open. From time to time, she served as a reviewer for 24 journals aboard.
內(nèi)容簡(jiǎn)介：
It is important for researchers to publish their findings in journals in order to share their work with others. However, many researchers have difficulty to prepare a decent paper. In my talk, varied statistical tests, samples size and power analysis will be introduced first. Several tips of preparing a manuscript will then be illustrated. In order to increase the acceptance rate, I will also tell how a reviewer comments on a paper. Hopefully, my talk can speed up young researchers’ time on preparing a manuscript.
